Australia Day & the Great British Work Dodger…
First off, tommorrow is Australia day. Is something magical supposed to happen? By the rantings dripping off the tongues of news readers and partys folk across the county something big is brewing! Do the decendents of ex-cons turn into rampaging beasts, once again flogging the brains of the abbo natives as they claim more arrid land as their own? Or is it just a big pissup on bad Ausy lager – like St. Patrick’s day, but with less stupid hats? Why else would they put a cage around the city? All sounds a bit suspicious to me, but hey, everything’s topsy-turvy down under!
As ya probably know too, I don’t like work (never have done). I also think the Brtish government machine doesnt have it’s head screwed on properly because it keeps making slow, sleepy mistakes. So what could make me happier? Well, it turns out that the dole just gave me a nice chunk of money! The funny thing… I havent been on the dole for nearly six months!!!

Frustration & Happiness
So, its seems im pointed in the direction of getting a settled life somewhere again! Just gotta figure out how to go about it. The search for a house and job are infuriatingly ball achey. I’ve seen numerous houses, all of which are either grubby or get snapped up by someone presumably more handsome and flashy than I appear! As for job hunting, I’ve just gone through the yellow pages and force-fed my CV to about ten companies.
On the other-hand, I’m happier than a dog who’s been let loose in the Mr Kipling factory. I’d be just perfect if I didn’t have to work soon! …There’s always a way though.
Had an excellent night on Friday with James, Alana and Stevie. Went to see some fuckin excellent live music! (should have some photos soon). Brisbane is a fun town and I got a great group of people around to be exploring it with!
Since I moved outta the scrappy apartment last week, I’ve been living with Stevie, a wonderful girl I’ve been seeing. Anyone that has a box full of crayons, pipe cleaners, googly eyes and coloured card for colouring is alright by me!
Still really hot here, I hear y’all cold? Awwww… I have rolled up jeans and flip-flops on… heheheheeeeee

Please, no more partying, my insides can’t take anymore! It’s been one hell of a ride since xmas. My mate, Rachel came up from Melbourne to visit, we rented a luxurious bug ridden apartment – which i’m now in on my own until Thursday… We met some cool people staying there too. Visited the Lone Pine Koala sanctuary, the cudly koala touch can crush a man’s tough exterior (even men as macho as me). I learned that kangaroo balls dangle far below their body… This confuses me!
Been looking at shared houses to live in, think I’ve decided to stay in Brissy for a while. It reminded me how bad landlords are. Some fuckers will try and rent anything out! I’ve been to ton’s of places, all shonky apart from one so far (fingers crossed). It feels like im in the life of bloody riley at the moment!
Still on the hunt for work but absolutly nothin yet, but money is getting desperatly low, of course I knew it would happen eventually… after all it’s been almost six months since I worked! HAHAHAAAAAA!
More news soon, but today I gotta throw my CV at wouldbe employers. I’m considering strolling into the casino with all my savings and putting it all on black… or red… no, black, definatly black!
